Day 2:
At the start of the second day, I returned the student feedback forms that the students completed on their first part, and then I also gave them rubrics that I had graded them on, just to give them some preliminary feedback; I tried to give them specifics so they wouldn’t have to hunt for them. I explained what the action plan was and how we were going to implement the suggestions. Then the students were ready to work on their action plans using the feedback from the other students, and the feedback that I had given them, so they had 13 different sets of feedback to work from so they could really revise their videos and make them the best they possibly could.

I think the action plan really helped the students focus on what they needed to change and what they needed to do; it really helped them filter through all the suggestions, and say, “This is how we can address it.” I think it also came in really handy because it allowed them to check the tasks off as they did them, so there’s this sense of completion they can look at. It helps them focus on what they need to focus on.
