YOP Connect

YOP Connect matches up YOP teams with recent YOP graduates to provide extra support and personalized help from people who know the unique challenges and issues firsthand. It presents new opportunities for leadership within the NAF network.

YOP participants will be selected by their Regional Directors from the pool of teams who are actively engaged in the YOP process, attend all scheduled YOP events, and face typical issues and challenges that future YOPs can learn from.

YOP Coaches will be selected from the pool of recent graduates of the YOP who are interested in helping communicate with and support YOP participants and are eager to participate more actively on NAFConnect.

YOP Connect as a number of planning and reflection activities to help participants consider the many important pedagogical and logistical issues of Academy planning. All activities have been adapted from the YOP Guidebook, and so are not added requirements to the YOP process.

• Webinars: Interactive online meetings to share ideas, issues, strategies and solutions
• Discussion Groups: Ask and respond to questions online using NAFConnect, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Blogs: Reflect on the YOP experience, its unique issues, and education reform
• Meetings: Participants meet at regional gatherings and NAF conferences to collaborate face-to-face.
• Digital Portfolio: The YOP Portfolio moves into the 21st century by going online
