A Kazillion people use social networking every day. In most cases it is free to use and low cost upgrades give you more ease of access. What this means is you can harness the power to build your business at unparalleled lower costs. People of all walks of life and businesses, are using social networking as a regular meeting place, as a customer relations tool, for banner and text ads, for free and inexpensive attraction marketing strategy. Well known sites such as Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn and Twitter, etc. are at the top, but are just a few, out of the thousands, in the social network community.
People use social media daily for personal, business and professional networking. There are many sites to choose from and worth the time to open and use an account. What I do is make a printed copy of all the accounts I have and put them in a tickle file to ensure consistent use. Or you can use a free version of HootSuite that will allow you to post to many sites at one time. Social Networking sites can give you access to people based on a niche or common interest. Some will allow you to advertise much like AdWords or AdBrite. When you sign-up be sure to go to the page that explains how to use it, set up your members area right then. Bookmark the site and you are ready to use. You can figure out when to use it later.
Social Network is also categorized as professional networking, educational collaborative networking, and hobbies networking allowing people to research and learn more about their interest. It is an excellent way to establish your expertise and get your website in front of others. There are Social Networking forums for academics, marketers, affiliates and techie, to list just a few of the thousands of communities. Blogging is perhaps as popular as Twitter and Facebook. You can start your own blog, post your comments on other authored blogs or seek to contribute to existing blogs. Using your blog as leverage in exchange for services you need. I once posted an ad on my blog in exchange for a logo design.
